Come one, come all and CELEBRATE the birthday of the delightful Roald Dahl who would have been 99 years and 11 months old on this day!

Have some delicious chocolate brownie, made by our own special team of Ompaloompas!

There will be local actors reading their favourite parts of Dahl stories. Prepare to be dazzled by their creative brilliance as they bring Dahl's tales to life again.

In addition to all this ... the first 50 children get a FREE GOODY BAG!  The Goody Bag is packed with cool stuff that kids will just love. Chocolate, pens, bookmarks, bagel bites and plastic book covers to name just a few of the items. See you all there.

Roald Dahl was born on Sept 13th, 1916 and died on November 23rd, 1990. He left behind a generation of new readers who adored his work. Children all over the world were inspired by him. Still today his grave is visited by children who leave behind toys and flowers for their hero. Dahl's books include: Charlie And The Chocolate Factory; The Witches; James And The Giant Peach; Matilda; The B.F.G; The Twits; The Enormous Crocodile; Danny The Champion Of The World; Fantastic Mr Fox.

This event is supported by Poppies Bookshop and Penguin Random House. This is a free event and you do not need to book. It is likely to be very popular though so we suggest you arrive early.
