The New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults, the country’s most prestigious annual
celebration of the best books for young readers, is bringing an exciting array of finalist authors to
Hamilton for the first time.
​
Free, fun and interactive sessions are available for secondary and primary school groups with talented
authors and illustrators. Craig Phillips and Heather Haylock will be appearing at the primary school events.
Erin Donohue, Eileen Merriman, Hayley King and Gareth Ward will be appearing at the secondary school
events.

These events are free to attend but bookings are needed. Schools should email Emma Anderson at
